Down in DC part 1 {Natural History Museum}

The morning of Simon's birthday we took the kids to the Natural History Museum in DC. Michael was maxed out on earning any more vacation until he used some days. We have been taking advantage of this by doing some fun things as a family. Miriam was really excited to go the museum. She spent a lot of time asking questions and being very observant. Simon on the other hand wasn't really digging all the bones and animals that don't move. Once we got to the insect zoo he was interested again. Michael's mom was able to join us for the day. It is always nice to have an extra set of hands to help. After the kids had enough of the museum we went out on the mall and had a picnic lunch. Then we headed to see the cherry blossoms...
