six weeks away

Simon will be two years old in six more weeks. Where has the time gone? In most ways he is still my baby boy, but parts of him are starting to want to grow up. I still hear a lot of "hold me, hold me" throughout the day. I try to remember that he won't be asking me to hold him much longer so I sit down and hold him as much as I can. One of his new words as of late is "self", as in I can do it my self.

Now for a bunch of pictures with captions, because sometimes that is the best way to see what life with Simon is like.

I don't know what it is, but he wants to carry it around with him everywhere.

I threw his chapstick away last week because I caught him eating it.

This is why he was getting in Miriam's purse, to find her chapstick.

Simon loves to play hide and go seek.

He is getting really good at hiding and staying quiet for a long time.

I found him not just hiding in the closet, but behind the clothes.

Smart boy.

Simon loves to watch Blue's Clues on Netflix.

I hope we can find him some Blue's Clues stuff for his birthday.

Happy Love Day

We made cookies in preparation for Valentine's day. Miriam insisted on hearts with pink frosting (of course). We love having a day celebrating those we love. Happy Valentine's day to all!

Along with all the iPhone photos, I took a bunch of iPhone videos. Most of them are just cute everyday things. In other words, a post like this is mostly for Grandmas, Grandpas, and far away family. Enjoy.

Oh iPhone, how I love thee?

January came and went. I am so glad that it went much faster than last year. Having a car sure makes a difference when getting through a cold month. Like I said before, I have been taking more pictures on my phone. Here are a bunch of pictures I don't want to slip through the cracks.

I was looking back through pictures today and realized that I am behind on posting some pictures from January. Here I was thinking I posted everything, because I didn't take very many pictures last month. I guess I forgot about a couple of days I actually got the camera out.

The day Miriam got her ears pierced we took her outside to take her picture. It was a pretty nice day and so we decided to walk around the block building a little bit. Simon wanted to make sure he wasn't left out on the picture taking. He kept stopping to smile at the camera.

I have been trying to take outfit posts for my other blog. The kids like to get in on the action.

One time Simon was sitting on the stairs waiting and somehow fell. Good thing his face caught his fall on the banister. I think he was more scared than anything. He just kept showing me his ow-ey. Somehow I got a really cute picture of Miriam and Simon after the whole ordeal.

Last, but not least, one day I found the kids laying in their room. I asked what they were doing. Miriam told me they were playing sleep-over.
