Christmas 2013: Bowling

Our last fun family outing for Christmas break was taking the kids bowling. It was Michael's idea, and it was a great one because the kids loved it. They have been asking to go back ever since. It was a fun morning spent together. I enjoyed watching the kids and Michael having fun together.

Christmas 2013: Christmas Sunday

Family Pictures

This year I couldn't decide if we were going to send out Christmas cards. I don't like family pictures taken when I am pregnant. However, as the first part of December rolled around I decided to swallow my pride and send pictures/cards out. Since it was so late we just decided to quickly put something together and take pictures with our tripod and remote. It was really cold so we just quickly took some pictures and sat in the car with snacks to warm up. My family is so patient with my crazy antics.

Not too bad for a quick self-shot photo shoot. Maybe next year I will plan a little better.... maybe.

Miriam's Fifth Birthday

Miriam was excited for her birthday. Turning five is a big deal for a little girl. We decided to take her and Simon to see Frozen for her birthday. We spent the rest of the day just hanging out together. Miriam invited Grandma and Grandpa Bishop and Elizabeth over for dinner and dessert. Her favorite dinner is chicken, rice, broccoli, and carrots. For dessert she wanted purple cupcakes with hot pink frosting and white (vanilla) ice cream.

Christmas 2013: temple lights

This year we didn't want Christmas to end. The Saturday after Christmas we took the kids to the Washington DC temple to see the crèche exhibit and the Christmas lights. The weather was quite mild so we didn't even freeze. We have enjoyed starting this tradition of seeing the temple after Christmas with our family.
