Down in DC part 2 {Cherry Blossoms}

...after lunch we walked down to the tidal basin to see the cherry blossoms. Supposedly we arrived one day before peak bloom. I think we were there about 2 days too early. The blossoms were not as pretty as I would have hoped. This was my first time going to see them and I was a little bit disappointed. I had huge hopes of getting some great pictures. The kids were too tired to cooperate too much anyway I guess. Once we decided it was time to head home, Simon was asleep in about one minute and didn't wake up until we got off the metro.

I asked Miriam to pick her favorite tree to take a picture in front of... 

she picked this little humble tree :)

I guess there is always next year.
