Easter Outfits

I love taking pictures of our family on Easter morning. The kids looked so cute dressed up for church. You can't always expect them to cooperate for pictures, but you do what you can. We are so grateful for our Savior and the time we had to celebrate his life today.

Christmas Sunday

The Sunday before Christmas is a good excuse to dress everyone in red and take some pictures. As usual it started out well and quickly went downhill. Simon gets tired of taking pictures and melts down. Miriam is such a good sport and smiles through it all. Levi usually doesn't know what is going on and goes with the flow (for now). Even though I get some resistance I am not going to give up taking pictures. It is important to me to have everyone in the picture, smiles or frowns.

I thought it would be fun to make this video of what it looks like behind the scenes. I like how Miriam just stands there smiling the whole time. She had the remote and just kept pushing the button.

Side note: you would think after more than five years with this camera I would remember to check the setting before taking pictures.

Matchy, Matchy Sunday

One Sunday we got to church and realized we all wore pink, black, and white. We had a few extra minutes so we just had to go outside and take some pictures. I love this family of mine.

Christmas Sunday

It is always fun to dress the family in festive colors for the Sunday before Christmas. I was especially excited to find matching outfits for the boys. Miriam was excited to wear her red dress. However, getting pictures of the occasion went downhill quickly. Before church we wanted to quickly take pictures using the tri-pod and remote. We had great cooperation for the family picture. As soon as Simon realized we wanted to take more pictures he wouldn't have it. Ah, oh well... memories.

Mother's Day

I had a great Mother's Day with my family. I am so grateful for Miriam and Simon. I enjoy being their mom more than I could have ever known. I always wanted to be a mom. There was nothing else that even came close to my desire to be a mom. Even though it is the hardest job in the world, it is by far the most rewarding. I love my little family to pieces.

I am also grateful to my own Mom who is the best example of motherhood. I hope to someday be just like her.
