On Saturday we went down to the National Harbor with Michael's parents to meet some of his aunts, uncles, and cousins that were in town. After we had lunch Miriam and Simon played hide-and-seek and ring-around-the-rosie. They were great to entertain themselves while the adults chatted. After everyone said goodbye we decided to walk around a bit to enjoy the beautiful weather. Although it was the first day of spring, Miriam had a snow day the day before. It was hard to believe since the weather was so nice. It was great to get out and enjoy some sunshine. Hopefully the spring weather is here to stay.
On the way home we tried to stop and get ice cream, but kept striking out with places being closed. Finally we just decided to drive home and get ice cream close by our house. It ended up being dinner time, so ice cream for dinner it was!
