The past few months have been a blur in so many ways. Michael's busy season has been in full force. This has meant working late nights during the week and working on Saturday each weekend. (Luckily he only had to work one Sunday this year.) It is amazing how different life is when Dad isn't around as much for the kids. There were days when I couldn't wait until bedtime just so I could get a little down time. However, I tried really hard this year to focus on the moment. Not to wish away the time and realize how much fun the kids and I could have had. I helped tremendously that we had a car this year. We tried to get out when we could.
I know that this blog has taken a bit to the back burner. A lot of my posts were merely pictures without a lot of words. I want to write more about what is going on in our lives. I want to paint a better picture of what life is like in the Bishop family.
Anyway, we are alive and kicking. Busy season is over. We have our husband/Dad back. Here are some things we did to pass the time this winter.
Helping with laundry:
Playing in a (very sad looking) tent:
Reading books:
We have a list of things we are going to do this spring/summer. It is going to be fun. So much to look forward to, but still trying to enjoy the journey each day.

changing her earrings
After six weeks of diligent calendar marking, Miriam was able to change her earrings on Sunday. She was nervous at first, not knowing what would happen. Once she saw the new earrings in her ear she was so excited. I can't believe how much earrings have made her look so grown up.
She wanted me to take a picture of her each day that she changed earrings this week. She was so excited to choose her earrings to match her outfits. Now she keeps saying we need to go to the store to buy more earrings, little stinker.
We haven't changed her earrings everyday. They recommend keeping earrings in day and night for the first year. Each night we put her original earrings back in and make sure we keep them clean. Having a little girl to share girly things with is too much fun.

iPhone + iPad
This is what I found when I got out of the shower the other day...
...at least I got clean in peace. (They are both watching shows on Netflix.)
